Stage 2 of the NSW Community Litter Grants is now underway! Thanks to all of the 60 organisations that completed the Stage 1 Local Litter Checks. Each organisation has now been sent the Stage two application forms – remember submission close on Friday 31 May.
In Stage 2 grants will be awarded to through a competitive process and organisations must use the data from your Stage 1 Local Litter Check.
The NSW Community Litter Grants is a partnership between the NSW Environment Protection Authority and KABNSW. Developed over the last six months of 2012, the NSW Community Litter Grants are a small part of a much wider strategy by the NSW State Government, which aims to see NSW as the state with the lowest litter count per capita by 2016.
The grants are being managed by KABNSW in partnership with the NSW Environment Protection Authority. Grants of over $5,000 will be provided to community organisations to implement actions to tackle litter in their local neighbourhood and measure the success of their litter prevention efforts.
