Take the Pledge takes to Parramatta in December
The KNSWB team will be in Prince Alfred Square and the local Parramatta area from 9am to 12pm on Friday 18th December encouraging locals and tourists to Take the Pledge. Our event media partner, Channel 7 will be there as well filming a news segment with some Channel 7 personalities.
Take the Pledge is KNSWB’s mass community awareness and engagement campaign. Through Take the Pledge we endeavour to spread a simple message to a critical mass of NSW citizens, visitors and tourists in pursuit of a litter-free society.
Keep NSW Beautiful started Take the Pledge in 2014, operating on the principle that the solution to litter lies in behaviour change rather than in clean-ups. The program is a move to influence NSW citizens to step away from a clean-up culture and towards education and awareness for lasting behaviour change – so that litter doesn’t end up on the ground in the first place.
The campaign engages members of the public through the act of pledging – online or in person – to ‘keep New South Wales Beautiful by not littering.’
If you’re in the area on the day, pop in and visit us at the Prince Alfred Square rotunda!
